Original army 3rd class merit badge for skiing.
Finnish conscripts were awarded merit badges for their sporting skills during military training. Each skill had usually three basic classes and sometimes a master class for national or international success. These badges can sometimes be seen worn on field tunics during WW2.
This is a good condition bronze badge with a screw on the back for fastening. There is a manufacturer stamp “HOPEAJALOSTE OY HELSINKI” on the back of the screw.
