Postwar Finnish m/36 Summer Blouse made in 1956.
The Finnish military m/36 Summer Blouse derives from the old Imperial Russian summer blouses. While the similarities of the m/36 Summer Blouse are not quite apparent, it is the last version of the summer blouses, all of which introduced some changes to the previous models. The post war m/36 Summer Blouses are essentially identical to the very late war issued m/36 Summer Blouses and they were used well into the 60’s – and even in the 2000’s for OpFor use, as by the author.
This summer blouse is made from identical cloth as the wartime ones. The blouse is essentially identical to the late war ones, and without seeing the stamps it would be hard to tell the difference. Pocket, belt loop and epaulette buttons are postwar steel buttons and the front closure buttons are wartime metal dish buttons.
This blouse is in very good condition. There are no holes and no repairs. Only a couple of stains on the back.
The blouse has stamps with SA-cartouche, VPu Int 56 stamp for manufacturer name and manufacturing year of 1956. The size is 52 B for a 176 cm to 185 cm tall man with a chest circumference of 104 cm.
