Description
Wartime model Ulvila backpack manufactured by Rauman Nahkatehdas Oy in 1943.
This is a khaki colored canvas backpack. It has green-grey cowhide loops and canvas back straps. In addition to the main compartment there are two external pockets. The main compartment closes with a pull string through zinc eyelets. The main flap and the external pocket flaps close with leather straps and steel buckles. As is usual for wartime backpacks, it is manufactured from a lighter material than prewar backpacks.
There are Rauman Nahkatehdas Oy manufacturer stamp, Finnish Army property stamp SA, Finnish Army Intendant’s Office stamp Int and a year stamp 43 under the main flap.
The main compartment string is missing and there are a few small holes on the bottom, but otherwise everything is in great condition. This is an excellent condition backpack for a collector.
