Field Axe Carrier, Late War Pattern

Category: Tag:

This is an original late war pattern Finnish Field Axe carrier. This pattern can be seen from early 1943 onwards. According to the manuals two field axes were to be issued per infantry squad.

The carrier wraps around the upper part of the axe handle and covers the blade. It fits the standard Finnish Field Axe (Model Kemi 12/3) manufactured by Billnäs or Kellokoski. The tightening strap is adjusted with a buckle. The carrier is leather and constructed by stitching and rivets. The carrier is hung from the belt with a belt loop.

We have brown and green-grey colored carriers available. Some of the carriers have SA, P and manufacturer stamps.
