These are postwar m/36 Breeches, used by the Finnish military up until the late 60’s.
These breechesare some of the best postwar m/36 breeches we have. As many postwar m/36 breeches are, these are exactly the same pattern and construction as the wartime trousers.
The trousers are made of a lightgrey plain twill wool, with greyish brown liner and pockets. There’s no repairs or patches in these trousers. The two slanted front pockets and the rear pockets and the pocket watch pocket are in original condition. The loops on the trouser leg cuffs are still original and in good condition. Both legs have a opened seam on the calves, but these are easy to sew on a home sewing machine. The waist seam has green piping pointing of the infantry and are similar to some of the wartime piping we’ve seen.
These are stamped SA Vpu Int 57, showing these were made in 1957. The size stamp is 50 A, so these are originally for a 164 cm to 169 cm tall man with 86 cm waist.
