P. Huhtala was a Finnish major who wrote a number of commercial instruction books for the Finnish reservists between 1933 and 1943. Ryhmänjohtaja (Squad leader) is aimed at NCOs to read and study by themselves during and after their their military service. The book covers a wide array of topics such as: “leadership”, “barracks service”, “weapons training”, “marksmanship”, “squad combat training”, “gas protection”, “logistics”, “orienteering”, “field training”, “reconnaissance” and “fieldworks”. The idea is that having read the book you know the basics of everything an NCO should ideally know.
The book is in good condition, with some fading on the cover.
