Description

Reproductions of Finnish m/36 (m/36-39 by collectors) collar tabs for conscripts and reservists from May 1939 to June 1941. These collar tabs were used on m/36 wool tunics and summer blouses.

These are embroidered insignia on wool fabric and a support fabric on the back. We replicated the designs and measurements from wartime documents, and color matched the wool and thread to original wartime tabs.

You can find the 5 mm epaulette rank tape here:

Price is for a pair.

Sewing instructions

For lower ranks and lower officer field tunics:

Cut the tabs so that there is about 1 – 3 mm of wool fabric left outside the outer edge.
The tabs are sewn about 5 mm from the front edge of the collar and vertically centered.

For higher officers and lower officer service tunics:

Cut the backside support fabric off right at the edge of the tab outline. Fold the colored fabric around to the backside along the edge of the tab and hand sew it to the opposite side to keep it folded.
The tabs are sewn about 5 mm from the front edge of the collar and vertically centered.
