Description
Reproduction of a Finnish ammunition bandolier. During the Continuation War these bandoliers were often issued instead of leather ammunition pouches. Most commonly you see these worn around the waist or slung over the shoulder.
The “Type 1” designation is not historical, but just a way for us to separate the different types. Historically all the different types of bandoliers were under the same designation of “patruunavyö” as in “ammunition belt”.
The bandolier has nine pockets for the Finnish 7,62x53r or Russian 7,62x54r ammunition clips. Three flaps close the pockets with steel buttons. The material is cotton canvas. There are cotton laces for fastening.
We offer these in a variety of fabric and thread colors, all period correct. If you are wondering, shades of khaki with white or black thread seem to have been the most common.
The buttons are original prewar black painted steel buttons with the text SIRO SUOMI or FOR GENTLEMEN on them, your choice. Both are period correct.
Price is for one.
