Description
Our reproduction of a Finnish wartime leather ammunition pouch for 45 rounds of 7.62x53r ammunition, three clips of 5 rounds per pocket.
This pouch type can be seen in use from the beginning of Continuation War. It is a very simplified version of the German style pouches with what looks like some Swedish and Italian ammo pouch influences.
The pouch is manufactured from 3 mm thick medium brown cowhide. We used original pouches as a reference for the pattern. The pouch is hand sewn together with white linen thread. There is a steel ring on the back for fastening to shoulder straps, although those were hardly ever used.
Like all leather products, the pouch might be a bit stiff at first. We suggest greasing it. The leather will stretch a bit in use.
