“Lottas and the history of the fatherland, part 1: Mannerheim and my fatherland” is a 197 page book by Katri Laine. It was an official Lotta Svärd textbook for a course of the same name. Even though it’s called part 1, there are no other parts in the series.
The framing of the book is the biography of Mannerheim and his rise to the leader of the Finnic peoples. The book’s purpose seemed to be to weave a connection between different Finnic tribes and their oppression by the Russians. There are also a lot of patriotic songs interspersed throughout the book.
